Objective:
- Enable participants to understand the basic function and components of engines.
- Enable participants to diagnose and repair the discussed ignition systems.
- Basic knowledge of conventional and Anti-lock Braking Systems
- Understanding of basic electrical and electronics theory in automotive electrical/electronic systems. Enable participants to diagnose and repair on vehicle electrical systems and component.
- Evaluate refrigeration systems for proper performance and recovery and leak detection equipments.
- Provide the fundamental knowledge required to understand the operation and diagnosis of wheels and tires.
- Identify and demonstrate the proper use of special tools and why they are important
- Explain the cause and effect relationship between various alignment angles and vehicle handling characteristics
- Explain how to measure tire and wheel lateral and radial run out;
and list common complaints associated with each.
