Day 1
Electrical Hazards and sources of ignition in power systems:-
- What is the hazard?
- How likely hazard to be present.
- Ignition temperature of hazard.
- Sources of ignition and electrical accidents.
- Safety requirements.
- Electrostatic Charges accumulation.
- Electrical Surges.Â
Day 2Â
Hazardous area classifications:-
- Codes and standards of equipment selection.
- Different systems of hazardous area classifications.
- Description of hazardous area according to the IEC standards (case study)
- Gas grouping at temperature classes.
- Standards & Certification: Apparatus Design Assurance.
- Key points in certification procedure.
Day 3
Electrical Installation and Maintenance in Hazardous area:-
- Index of Protection (IP).
- Ignition curves.
- Electrical wiring.
- Switchboards
- Transformers
- Inspection and testing.
Day 4
Protective Grounding (Earthing):-
- Power Earthing
- Safety Earthing
-Standard Values of Earth Resistance Required for Various Installations
- Earthing Methods
- Earthing System Components
- Specifications of Typical Earthing Systems.
-General Operation and Maintenance Instrumentation for Earthing Devices
-Practical applications and Recommendations.
