Course Overview
The class will focus on vocabulary building and English conversation practice to increase confidence and fluency
in spoken English. The core of each class will be simple conversations based on practical everyday themes and
basic grammar points.
Course Goals
To allow practice as much spoken English as possible and provide them with the skills
necessary to hold basic everyday conversations.
Course Content
Each week the students will be provided with a worksheet that will include vocabulary, phrases, and activities
centered around a single theme or grammar point. Classes will be conducted in English, but extra help will be
provided for vocabulary and phrases not covered on the worksheet or for any other problems the students may
encounter. After introducing the key language and concepts of the lesson, and answering and checking
to understand, we will practice what we have learned through activities and short conversations in pairs or small
groups. Any necessary feedback or advice will be given before starting the next activity or question. Each topic
is predicted to take about 2-3 weeks to complete and further issues will be added if time allows.
